Mackenzie Eford notched a 15-kill performance, hitting .577, leading the way offensively as the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns volleyball team (4-4, 1-0 Great American Conference) rolled to a 3-0 win over Southern Arkansas (3-6, 0-1), winning by set scores of 25-9, 25-16, 25-10.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the opening set, Southern Arkansas claimed an early 3-2 lead, but the Golden Suns reeled off eight consecutive points to claim a 10-3 advantage.
- After SAU cut the Tech lead to 10-5, the Golden Suns scored eight of the next nine points to jump ahead 18-6, and the Golden Suns cruised to the 25-9 win in the opening set.
- The two teams traded leads 10 times over the opening sequence, with the set tied 10-10 after a Tech service error.
- The Golden Suns scored six of the next seven points to claim a 16-11 advantage.
- SAU struck back with the next three points to cut the Tech lead to 16-14 before the Golden Suns reeled off eight straight points to force set point at 24-14.
- The Muleriders twice prolonged the set with kills by Morgan Gross to pull to within 24-16, but a service error sealed the set win for the Golden Suns.
- Tech jumped out to a 14-4 lead in the final set, rolling to a 25-10 set victory to claim the match.
