WONDER BOYS FALL IN SEASON OPENER TO SAU

MAGNOLIA, Ark. KJ Reid turned in a 14-tackle performance, leading the way for the Arkansas Tech defense, while Bryan Allen moved into fifth all-time at Arkansas Tech in all-purpose yards as the Wonder Boys football team dropped a 38-0 decision in the season opener against Southern Arkansas on Thursday at Wilkins Stadium.

  • Reid's 14 tackles led both teams, while Dio Williams turned in eight stops. 
  • Cale Fulsom went 9-for-18 with 83 passing yards, while Carter Burcham was 9-for-19 with 83 passing yards. 
  • Terrez Hampton caught a team-best six passes. 
  • Bryan Allen's 36 rushing yards led the Wonder Boys, while he also racked up 17 return yards to give him 53 all-purpose yards for the game. The performance moved him from from seventh to fifth all-time at Arkansas Tech, passing Greg Washington, who racked up 2,940 yards from 1999-2001 and Greg Andrews, who racked up 2,947 yards from 1989-92. Allen now has 2,959 for his career.
