GOLDEN SUNS READY FOR MIDWEEK DUALS IN PENSACOLA

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - Arkansas Tech women's tennis is scheduled for two non-conference matches in Pensacola, Fla. on Tuesday and Thursday, at the Ralph "Skeeter" Carson Tennis Complex. The Golden Suns will face West Alabama on Tuesday, March 20, at 2 p.m., followed by a 2 p.m. dual against No. 5 West Florida on Thursday.

Arkansas Tech is 2-2 all-time against West Alabama, but the two have not met since 2009 in Gulf South Conference Tournament when the Suns defeated the Tigers, 5-1. Tech is 0-4 all-time against West Florida, including a 2016 loss to the Argonauts, who were then ranked sixth in Division II.

Arkansas Tech (7-1) has won its previous five matches, including a 5-3 defeat of eighth-regionally-ranked Northwest Missouri on Sunday. Julia Schoch leads the Suns with a 6-1 record in singles play this spring, while Megan Bell, Annabel Rowlands and Kami Ward each follow with five victories. In doubles action, the duo of Katharina Drebka and Ward have won two consecutive matches at the No. 1 doubles position. Katie Harris and Schoch are 3-0 this spring as a doubles team.
