Emily Acker dished out 44 assists, and
Meredith Darnell added 20 digs as the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns volleyball team (14-8, 7-3 Great American Conference) swept to a 3-0 win over Oklahoma Baptist (13-13, 6-4 GAC) on Friday night at Tucker Coliseum.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Suns jumped out to an early 7-3 lead, OBU answered with a 3-0 run to bring the score to 7-6.
- Tech went on to score seven of the next 11 points to take a 14-10 advantage, highlighted by a Eshnaur kill. The Lady Bison cut the deficit to 17-15, before the Suns went on to score the final eight points and take the opening set 25-15.
- Oklahoma Baptist took control of the second set early on, taking a 4-2 lead and stretching that lead to 12-8.
- The Golden Suns fought back, led by Mackenzie Eford who recorded five kills during a 10-2 run to give Tech an 18-14 lead.
- OBU score three unanswered points to cut the lead to 18-17, however Tech responded with its own 3-0 run to push its lead to 21-17. The Lady Bison pulled within three points at 23-20, but that's as close as they would get as the Golden Suns took the second set 25-21.
- Tech began the third set with an 8-3 lead, but OBU responded with an 8-4 run to force an Arkansas Tech timeout. The Lady Bison used a 5-1 run out of the timeout to take a 16-13 lead.
- Arkansas Tech scored the next five points to take an 18-16 lead, but surrendered that lead after OBU put together a 7-2 run to take a 23-20 advantage.
- Tech scored the next two points, but Oklahoma Baptist answered with a kill to force a set point at 24-22. Allie Anderson helped the Suns rally as she recoded two kills on a 3-0 Tech run to force a match point at 25-24.
- OBU retook the lead after scoring back-to-back points to take a 26-25 lead. After an OBU service error knotted the score up at 26-26, the Lady Bison regained the lead and forced their third set point of the set at 27-26.
- Tech closed the set out by scoring four of the last five points, an Eshnaur kill gave the Golden Suns the 30-28 set and the 3-0 match victory.
NOTABLES
- Eshnaur finished with a match-high 18 kills, and added 17 digs to record her seventh double-double of the year. Eshnaur also notched three service aces.
- Spray followed with 12 kills on 21 attacks, while Anderson chipped in nine kills and Eford totaled eight kills.
- Emily Acker recorded a match-high 20 assists, to go alongside eight digs.
- Darnell led the defense with 20 digs, and was followed by Brittany Melcher (16) and Marisa Drevenak (10).
- Tech outhit OBU .316 to .226, with its best set coming in the first set as the Golden Suns hit .441.
- The Golden Suns also recorded five blocks on the night, led by Eshnaur and Ellie Perkins with three.
