RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas Tech volleyball earned two home victories on Tuesday, moving to 6-0 for just the fourth time in program history. The Golden Suns defeated Bacone College, 3-0 (25-19, 25-5, 25-14), and Williams Baptist, 3-0 (25-9, 25-11, 25-18).

HOW IT HAPPENED: ARKANSAS TECH VS. BACONE
- An 11-2 run early in the first set allowed the Golden Suns to take a 13-7 lead, and Bacone was not able to pull within four points for the rest of the game. Seven of Rilie Vote's team-high 15 kills came in the first set.
- Tech's offense came alive in the second set, hitting .517 with 15 kills and no attack errors. The Golden Suns also dominated defensively, limiting Bacone to hit -.138 with just three kills. Madison Nagel paced the defense with nine digs in the set.
- Behind Mackenzie Eford's five kills on six attacks in the third set, the Suns improved their attack percentage from the previous game, hitting .593 with 17 kills. Vote added five kills on seven attacks, as well.
- Arkansas Tech hit .412 for the match, while Bacone was held to .058. Vote's 15 kills came with a .500 hitting percentage in just her third collegiate game. Kenzie Dozier followed with 12 kills. Emily Acker led the Suns at the setter position, recording 43 assists in just her second collegiate match. Nagel finished with a match-high 16 digs.
HOW IT HAPPENED: ARKANSAS TECH VS. WILLIAMS BAPTIST
- Arkansas Tech controlled the first set from the opening point, tallying 19 kills and allowing just three. Six different Suns recorded at least two kills in the game, including Hunter Eshnaur and Allie Anderson who combined for eight kills and just two errors.
- The Golden Suns opened the second set on a 9-2 run and eventually reached their largest lead of 14 on three separate occasions. Nine of Arkansas Tech's 18 kills in the game came from either Eshnaur or Amanda Milnick.
- Tech took the match after three sets, recording 17 kills and a .351 attack percentage. Vote took over once again in the set, leading all players with six kills and zero errors.
- For the match, Eshnaur paced the Suns with 12 kills and a .647 hitting percentage. Vote added eight kills and no errors. Milnick assisted on 38 kills, and she also recorded seven kills of her own. Nagel anchored the defense with 16 digs.
NOTABLES
- Arkansas Tech is 6-0 for the first time since 2008 when the Suns reached 16 consecutive wins to begin the season. Tech's other two 6-0 starts came in 1992 and 1999, with both streaks ending after seven wins.
- 11 different Suns recorded a kill on the day, led by Vote's 23 combined over two games. Tech's .453 attack percentage against Williams Baptist is the highest in a match for the Golden Suns since 2013 when Tech hit .473 against Central Baptist.
- Tech posted attack percentages of .412 and .453 in Tuesday's contests, marking the first time since 2012 that Arkansas Tech has hit at least .400 in consecutive matches.
