SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Arkansas Tech Golden Suns tennis team's duo of Annabel Rowlands and Kami Ward advanced in the first day of the ITA Regionals being held in Springfield on Friday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Rowlands and Ward, who are the No. 14 seeded doubles team, defeated the No. 13 seeded Shakhnaza Zhanalova and Anna Okolot of Upper Iowa  8-3 to advance to the Round of 16.
• In singles play, the No. 18 seeded Rowlands fell to Northeastern State's Molly Warden 6-1, 6-4
• No. 34 seeded Ward was defeated by Southern Nazarene's Polina Chala 6-4, 6-2
