ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - Arkansas Tech reached 17-0 on the season for the first time in program history and posted its highest attack percentage in a conference match in over a decade, as the Golden Suns defeated Henderson State, 3-0 (25-14, 25-15, 25-18), on Tuesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Suns dominated from the first serve, scoring the match's first three points. Tech hit .519 in the first set, tallying 16 kills and just two errors, while Hunter Eshnaur led all players with six kills on seven attempts.Â
- Henderson State (9-8, 2-2 GAC) took the first lead of the second set, but a 15-4 run put the Suns ahead, 15-6, midway through the game.Â
- A 6-1 run by the Reddies cut Tech's lead to just five points, but the Golden Suns answered with four consecutive points to take the set and a 2-0 lead. Arkansas Tech finished with a .444 hitting percentage in the second set, while forcing Henderson State to commit 10 attack errors.
- Arkansas Tech used a late 7-0 run to take control of the final set, before Lexie Johnston ended the match with her eighth kill.Â
- Tech's lowest attack percentage came in the final game, but the Suns were still able to hit .393 with 16 kills. The Reddies were limited to just nine kills and eight attack errors, hitting .032.
- Eshnaur finished with a match-high 13 kills and .579 attack percentage, followed by Allie Anderson with 11 kills and a .438 attack percentage. Johnston added eight kills with zero errors to hit .571.Â
- Amanda Milnick recorded a match-high 34 assists, and Madison Nagel led all players wth 14 digs.Â

- Tech's .451 attack percentage is the highest in a conference match in over a decade. The Suns have hit over .400 in a conference match only twice in the past decade before Tuesday. One of which came exactly four years before against the same opponent when Tech hit .419 on Sept. 26, 2013 in Arkadelphia against Henderson State.Â
- Arkansas Tech held HSU to hit just .082, the second-lowest attack percentage in a GAC match this season. The Suns have yet to allow an opponent to hit over .200 in a match, while Tech has hit over .200 in 15 of 17 matches this season.Â
- The Golden Suns have now hit over .400 in five matches this season. In the previous three seasons combined, Arkansas Tech hit over .400 in five matches.
