ARKANSAS TECH VOLLEYBALL TRAVELS TO ARKADELPHIA THURSDAY

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - Arkansas Tech volleyball travels to Arkadelphia on Thursday for a Great American Conference match against Ouachita Baptist at 6:30 p.m. The Golden Suns are looking for their 16th consecutive victory, which would tie for the most wins to start a season in program history.

Arkansas Tech (15-0, 2-0 GAC) is currently ranked 24th in Division II's AVCA Coaches Top 25 Poll, and the Golden Suns most recently defeated Harding in straight sets on Tuesday. The Suns lead all of Division II in kills and assists, and Tech's .301 hitting percentage and .093 opponent hitting both rank fifth in the nation and first in the conference.

Amanda Milnick leads the Golden Suns and the GAC with 10.34 assists per set, and she also ranks fifth in the conference with a .338 hitting percentage. Milnick was named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division II Player of the Week on Tuesday, after a week in which she averaged 10.22 assists, 3.11 digs and 1.83 kills per set while hitting .355. Milnick also earned GAC Setter of the Week for the third consecutive week.

Lexie Johnston has hit a conference-high .391 this season, and Hunter Eshnaur's 3.00 kills per set is tied for fifth-best in the GAC. Greer Rogers is tied for the lead in the conference with 1.23 blocks per set.

Ouachita (9-4, 2-0 GAC) is coming of a five-set victory over Southern Arkansas on Tuesday, snapping a three-game losing streak. The Tigers currently rank third in the GAC in hitting percentage, assists and kills. Stormi Leonard leads the GAC in total assists, ranking third with 10.06 assists per set. Adrianna Nolly's .335 attack percentage and 3.00 kills per set both rank fifth in the conference.

Arkansas Tech is 44-18 all-time against Ouachita. The Tigers won the last meeting, however, in three sets last season.
