Box Score RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – After defeating Southern Nazarene Tuesday afternoon to earn its first Great American Conference win of the spring season, the Arkansas Tech women's tennis team (14-5, 2-1 GAC) captured its second conference win of the week Thursday afternoon over Ouachita Baptist (0-15, 0-5 GAC), 9-0, at the Chartwells Women's Sports Complex.

The Suns will hit the road for the first time in two weeks and take on the Reddies of Henderson State for the second time this season. In their last meeting on March 16, Arkansas Tech topped Henderson State, 7-2. Doubles play is set to begin at 2 p.m. followed by singles competition at the Betty Wallace Tennis Center in Arkadelphia, Ark.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Haeleigh Long and Maria Vlaskina began the match for the Golden Suns with an 8-0 win in No. 3 doubles to push Arkansas Tech to a 1-0 lead.
- The Suns would move on to sweep the Tigers in doubles play, 3-0, before moving into singles competition.
- Singles play was highlighted by three straight set wins by Annabel Rowlands, Haeleigh Long, and Maria Vlaskina.
- Teresa Sanchez secured the 9-0 win for the Suns, taking No. 2 singles 6-2, 6-2.
