TECH BASEBALL DROPS SERIES IN MONTICELLO

MONTICELLO, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys dropped just their second conference series of the season on Saturday, falling to Arkansas-Monticello, 3-1, to lose the three-game series, 2-1.

NOTABLES
  • With the loss, the Wonder Boys fall into a tie for second in the Great American Conference standings with UAM. Arkansas Tech already clinched home-field advantage in opening round of the GAC Tournament Championships, however, with the victory over the Weevils on Friday.
  • Tech's lone run of the game came on a single up the middle by Klockowski that scored Wilson from third. Klockowski batted in his team-leading 37th run and Wilson scored his team-leading 34th run of the season.
  • Wilson reached base a team-high three times, recording one single and two walks. He also added two stolen bases to give him 15 on the season.
  • Birkemeier started on the mound for the Wonder Boys but exited after allowing three runs in four innings. Cody Wescott, Quentin Bowling and Branden Bohuslav combined for four scoreless innings.
