RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – After holding off Henderson State (4-8, 1-3 GAC) to earn its first Great American Conference road win of the season, the Arkansas Tech women's tennis team (15-5, 3-1 GAC) is set for its last home match of the season it welcomes the 18
th ranked Bison of Oklahoma Baptist (17-3, 2-1 GAC) to the Chartwells Women's Sports Complex this Friday, April 14.
The Golden Suns remain ranked ninth in the Central Region after three straight conference wins.

Kami Ward gave the Suns an early lead on Saturday against the Reddies, taking No. 2 doubles 8-6. Henderson State fought back to tie the match up at 2-2, but
Vandella Suico gave the Suns the lead once again by winning the No. 6 singles match.
Kami Ward captured the win for Arkansas Tech in No. 3 singles, winning 6-4, 6-3 and pushing the Suns to a 5-2 lead.
The Bison enter Fridays match having won three of their last five matches, two of which were in Great American Conference play. This is only the second meeting all time between Arkansas Tech and Oklahoma Baptist. The Bison lead the series 1-0 after defeating the Golden Suns 8-1 on April 2, 2016.
