Anissa Pounds add3d 11, but a second-chance layup in the closing seconds provided the winning margin for Harding as the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns basketball team (22-7) dropped a 75-73 heartbreaker to the Lady Bisons (27-3) on Sunday in the finals of the Great American Conference championship tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Harding claimed an early advantage on the first possessions, but Arkansas Tech opened a four-point (12-8) lead four minutes into the opening quarter.
- The Golden Suns led by as many as eight (26-18) with 53 seconds remaining in the first quarter before Harding scored the final four points of the period to pull to within four (26-22).
- Tech stretched its lead to six (32-26) with 7:25 to go until halftime, but the Lady Bisons used a 6-0 run to tie the game three minutes later, and pressed ahead to take a six-point (45-39) lead of their own into the halftime break.
- The Lady Bisons claimed an eight-point advantage – their largest lead of the game – on the opening possession of the third quarter before the Golden Suns rallied back, pulling to within one (52-51) after a Cheyenne North layup with 4:44 to play.
- Harding carried a two-point (60-58) lead into the fourth quarter.
- The Lady Bisons were able to keep the game tied or hold the lead until the 2:17 mark, when Kelsey McClure broke a 69-69 tie with a pair of free throws.
- The Golden Suns pulled ahead by four (73-69) with 1:27 to play after a layup by North.
- Harding finished the game on a 6-0 run, capped by a Sydnie Jones layup with three seconds remaining that provided the two-point margin of victory.

- Jones led all scorers with 30 points off the bench for Harding, grabbing an additional nine boards.
- North was Tech's leading rebounder, tying Jones with a game-high nine.
- Kylie Ladd dished out four assists to lead Arkansas Tech.
- Tech outscored Harding 42-36 in the paint, 14-12 off turnovers, 14-13 on second-chance buckets, and 10-4 on fast-break points.
