RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – After a dominating 9-0 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff (1-18) Tuesday afternoon, the Arkansas Tech women's tennis team (12-4) looks to start strong in Great American Conference play as it welcomes the Savage Storm of Southeastern Oklahoma (10-2) to Chartwells Women's Sports Complex Friday afternoon for the first conference match of the spring season.
 
Ranked 10^th in the latest ITA Central Region rankings, the Golden Suns saw strong play in both singles and doubles competition on Tuesday. The duo of Annabel Rowlands and Teresa Sanchez picked up its ninth doubles win of the season, taking No. 2 doubles match 8-0. Singles play was highlighted by Teresa Sanchez, Kami Ward, and Haeleigh Long each winning in straight sets, 6-0.
 
The Golden Suns will face a Savage Storm squad that is looking to extend its current five match win streak, one of which came over No. 24 Cameron on March 24. Southeastern Oklahoma is ranked fifth in the Central Region and sits in second place in the Great American Conference with a 1-0 record in conference play.
