Box Score RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – After going undefeated and capturing wins over two regionally ranked teams this past weekend at the MWSU Winter Invitational, the Arkansas Tech women's tennis team (6-0) continued its stellar play in the Sun's home opener against John Brown (1-3), winning, 9-0, over the Golden Eagles.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Golden Suns started out strong in doubles play as Teresa Sanchez and Annabel Rowlands won the No. 1 doubles match in straight sets, 8-0.
• The doubles pairing of Haeleigh Long and Vandella Suico posted a strong showing, winning No. 2 doubles, 8-2. Kami Ward and Maria Vlaskina also earned an 8-2 win in No. 3 doubles.
• Teresa Sanchez and Kami Ward each picked up wins in singles play, winning in straight sets.
