RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - Coming off a 7-0 sweep over Arkansas Pine-Bluff on Thursday, the Arkansas Tech women's tennis team is preparing for a full weekend of non-conference matches as the Golden Suns travel to St. Joseph, Mo. for the Missouri Western Winter Invitational.
 
The Golden Suns only allowed UAPB to win four games on Thursday as Tech won four of the seven matches in straight sets. Macarena Sedano Acosta and Tamara Bell won in straight sets in doubles play followed by Annabel Rowlands, Kami Ward, and Haeleigh Long in singles play.
 
Tech will play Newman (2-0) to kick off the weekend with a Saturday match beginning at 6:30 p.m. On Sunday, the Suns will take on host Missouri Western (2-1), at 9 a.m. followed by the Maryville Saints (3-1) at 2 p.m.
 
All matches will be held at the Genesis Health Club in St. Joseph.
