RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - The Arkansas Tech Golden Suns tennis team (1-0) looks to capture its second win of the spring season on Thursday as they prepare to take on Arkansas-Pine Bluff (0-4) in a mid-week road match.
 
This will be the seventh meeting all time between the Golden Suns and Golden Lions. Arkansas Tech leads the series 7-0 after defeating UAPB 9-0 at the Chartwell's Women's Sports Complex last March.
 
The Suns are coming off a strong showing on Saturday against Delta State after defeating the Lady Statesmen 8-1 in Arkadelphia at the Craig and Kim Ward Tennis Center. Macarena Sedano Acosta and Tamara Bell each picked up an individual win as well as a doubles win. Tech also won three straight in singles play, including shutout wins by Kami Ward (6-0, 6-0) and Annabel Rowlands (6-0).
 
Today's match in Pine Bluff is set for a 1 p.m. start.
