Box Score ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Macarena Sedano Acosta and Tamara Bell each picked up an individual win as well as a doubles win as the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns (1-0) opened the spring season with an 8-1 victory over Delta State (1-3) on Saturday at the Craig and Kim Ward Tennis Center in Arkadelphia.

The Golden Suns will travel to Pine Bluff, Arkansas on Thursday, February 16 to take on Arkansas-Pine Bluff for a 1 p.m. match.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Suns swept doubles play with big wins by the No. 1 doubles pairing of Acosta and Bell (8-1) as well as by the No. 2 doubles pair of Teresa Sanchez and Annabel Rowlands (8-2)
• Tech kept things rolling in singles play as the Golden Suns won three straight, including shutout wins by Kami Ward (6-0, 6-0) and Rowlands (6-0).
• Bell and Acosta each closed out singles play with 6-1 wins.
