RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - No. 9 Arkansas Tech begins its final week of the 2017 volleyball regular season on Tuesday, as the Golden Suns travel to Searcy, Ark. to take on Harding. The Great American Conference contest is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Arkansas Tech (30-0, 14-0 GAC) has already clinched the top seed for the upcoming GAC Championships, and the Suns are guaranteed at least a share of the GAC regular-season title. With a win over Harding on Tuesday, Arkansas Tech would claim its third outright regular-season conference championship in four years. 

The Golden Suns have won three consecutive matches against the Lady Bisons, including a straight-set win on Sept. 19. In this season's previous meeting, Tech outscored Harding, 75-52, over the three sets. The Suns posted a .287 hitting percentage while holding Harding to a .104 attack percentage. 

Arkansas Tech is currently one of just two remaining undefeated teams in Division II, and the Golden Suns are the only team among 285 Division II programs with at least 30 wins. Tech leads the nation in opponent attack percentage (.093), as the Suns have yet to allow an opponent to hit over .200 as a team. Arkansas Tech also ranks second in Division II in hitting percentage (.301), reaching the .300 mark in 17 matches this season. 

Harding (24-4, 12-2 GAC) can clinch the second seed for the conference tournament with a win on Tuesday. Harding was just one game behind Arkansas Tech in the GAC standings for much of the season, until Henderson State upset the Lady Bisons four sets last Thursday. Harding ranks second in the conference, just behind Arkansas Tech, in hitting percentage (.235), opponent hitting (.132), kills per set (13.93) and assists per set (13.05).
