NO. 18 ARKANSAS TECH TRAVELS TO OKLAHOMA THIS WEEKEND

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - No. 18 Arkansas Tech will travel to Oklahoma this weekend for the first time this season, taking on East Central and Southeastern Oklahoma. The Golden Suns will face the Tigers of ECU on Friday at 6 p.m. in Ada, before a 10 a.m. match on Saturday against the Savage Storm in Durant.

Arkansas Tech (18-0, 5-0) is off to its best start to a season in volleyball program history, and the Golden Suns 18-match win streak is tied for third longest in program history. Tech has won the past 15 sets, including straight-set victories over Henderson State and Arkansas-Monticello last week.

The Golden Suns are one of just six undefeated teams remaining in Division II, and Tech currently has more wins than any other Division II team. The Suns rank third in Division II in both hitting percentage (.306) and opponent hitting percentage (.092).

Lexie Johnston has posted a team-high .425 attack percentage this season, eighth-best in Division II. Amanda Milnick leads the Great American Conference with 10.48 assists per set, and her .359 hitting percentage ranks third. Tech is the only team in the GAC with three players ranked in the top five in hitting percentage, as Allie Anderson ranks fifth in the conference with a .311 attack percentage.

East Central (4-14, 0-5 GAC) has lost its previous seven matches, including losses to Oklahoma Baptist and Southern Nazarene last week. The Tigers rank 12th in the conference in attack percentage and kills, but ECU is currently second in the GAC with an average of 19.05 digs per set.

Southeastern Oklahoma (5-13, 1-4 GAC) has suffered losses in its previous four matches, after the Storm defeated East Central in five sets on Sept. 21. Southeastern is set to host Harding on Friday before welcoming Arkansas Tech on Saturday. The Storm has allowed opponents to hit .210 this season, highest opponent percentage in the conference. Southeastern Oklahoma sits just behind ECU for third in the GAC in digs per set (17.91).
