RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech Golden Suns won their seventh consecutive game on Thursday, defeating Southeastern Oklahoma State, 69-51.
Calli White led all players with 17 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Suns took the first lead of the contest on a White three-pointer, but the first period featured four ties and three lead changes. Kelsey McClure converted on a layup to tie the score at 15-15 heading into the second quarter.
- Tech took control of the game in the second quarter, outscoring Southeastern Oklahoma (5-4, 3-2 GAC) 19-6. The Golden Suns forced nine turnovers in the ten-minute period, resulting in eight points. The Savage Storm was also held to just 17.6 percent from the field.
- Coming out of halftime, the Golden Suns established their largest lead with a 9-0 run that put Tech ahead, 45-24. Tech allowed the Savage Storm to net just three field goals for the second consecutive period, as the Golden Suns took a 53-34 lead into the final 10 minutes of play.
- Southeastern outscored Tech, 17-16, in the final period, but the Golden Suns never let the Storm pull within double-digits.
- The Golden Suns finished the contest shooting 37.5 percent from the floor and 16.7 percent from three-point range, Tech's lowest three-point percentage in a game this season. Arkansas Tech relied on its defense, however, holding Southeastern Oklahoma to just 27 percent on field goals, the worst shooting percentage by a Tech opponent since Dec. 17, 2014.

- With the win, Tech moves into a tie for second in the Great American Conference standings. Seven consecutive victories is also longest current winning streak in the conference.
- Behind White's 17 points, Cheyenne North finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds to secure her first career double-double with the Golden Suns. McClure and Anissa Pounds followed with 10 points each, while Pounds added seven boards, four assists and three steals.
- Despite struggling behind the arc, Tech dominated inside, outscoring the Storm, 20-8, in the paint.
- The Golden Suns led for more 35 minutes in the 40-minute contest.
