RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech Golden Suns will look for their ninth and 10
th consecutive wins this weekend, battling Ouachita and Southern Arkansas. Tech hosts Ouachita in Tucker Coliseum at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, before traveling to Magnolia to take on Southern Arkansas a 1 p.m. on Saturday.

ALL-TIME SERIES
In 68 all-time meetings between Arkansas Tech and Ouachita, the Golden Suns have won 54. Tech has won the previous five contests against the Lady Tigers, and the Golden Suns are 18-2 against Ouachita since 2007. Southern Arkansas has defeated Arkansas Tech just nine times, while the Golden Suns have won 64 contests. Tech is 22-1 against the Lady Muleriders since 2006.
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN SUNS
Arkansas Tech (9-1, 5-1 GAC) has won at least nine of its first 10 games in five of the last eight seasons. The Golden Suns are looking for their ninth straight victory after defeating Southeastern Oklahoma and East Central by an average of 21.5 points last week. Tech currently sits in a tie for second in the Great American Conference standings.
Tech has produced just the fourth-best scoring offense in the GAC this season, but the Golden Suns are the only conference team holding opponents under 60 points per game. Arkansas Tech has defeated its opponents by an average of 15.7 points per game, best in the GAC. Defensively, the Golden Suns rank first in the conference and 15
th in Division II in field-goal percentage defense. Opponents are shooting just 33.9 percent from the floor, while the Golden Suns net 44.9 percent of field goals. Tech also leads the conference in free-throw percentage and rebounding margin.
Cheyenne North leads the Golden Suns offense with an average of 14.4 points per contest, fifth-best in the GAC. North is fourth in the conference with just over eight rebounds a game, while her 3.1 offensive rebounds per game ranks first. She also is the only player in the conference averaging over two blocks per game.

SCOUTING THE LADY TIGERS
Ouachita (7-5, 4-2 GAC) is coming off back-to-back 100-point scoring efforts, in which the Lady Tigers defeated Northwestern Oklahoma and Southwestern Oklahoma. Ouachita sits in a tie for fourth in the GAC standings.
The Lady Tigers boast the third-best scoring offense in the conference and the second-best field-goal percentage. Ouachita is the top three-point shooting team in the conference, netting 36.1 percent from deep. Madison Brittain and Alivia Huell lead Ouachita's offense, each averaging over 12 points per game. Huell also leads Ouachita with 5.7 rebounds per contest.
SCOUTING THE LADY MULERIDERS
Southern Arkansas (3-7, 1-5 GAC) enters the conference weekend having dropped its previous two contests to Oklahoma Baptist and Southern Nazarene. The Lady Muleriders travel to Arkadelphia for a Thursday night game against Henderson State before hosting Arkansas Tech on Saturday.
The Lady Muleriders are one of just two teams in the conference averaging less than 60 points per game, but SAU ranks fifth in the GAC in scoring defense. Southern Arkansas has held opponents to shoot just 36.8 percent from the field, third-best in the conference. SAU also ranks third in the GAC in rebounding margin. Kimberly Crown leads the Lady Muleriders with 10.4 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.
