RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - The Arkansas Tech Golden Suns volleyball team (5-3) will take to the Tucker Coliseum court for its first home contest of the 2016 season, opening Great American Conference play against Southern Arkansas. The match is set for a 6 p.m. start. 

The Golden Suns are coming off a 3-1 performance this past weekend at the Henderson State / OBU Invitational in Arkadelphia. Tech downed Drury 3-2 before falling 3-0 to No. 11 Northern State. The Suns finished the event with sweeps of Lindenwood and Pittsburg State.

Southern Arkansas (3-5) competed at the same event this past weekend, going 1-3. The Lady Muleriders' lone win was a three-set sweep of Missouri Southern after dropping five-set matchups against Lindenwood and West Alabama. SAU also dropped a 3-0 matchup to Northern State.

Arkansas Tech volleyball will also be accepting food at its home events as part of its partnership with River Valley Food 4 Kids. Fans are encouraged to bring a box of cereal for collection at this game.
