RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech Golden Suns tennis team (9-9, 3-1 Great American Conference) is set to face a pair of tough teams this weekend. The Golden Suns will travel to Durant, Okla. on Friday, April 8 to face Southeastern Oklahoma (7-3, 3-1 GAC) and then return home to take on the top team in the Central Region, Southwest Baptist (11-3) on Sunday, April 10 at the Chartwells Women's Sports Complex.

Tech is coming off a 2-1 week in Great American Conference play. Last weekend, the Suns split a pair of road matches, opening with a 7-2 win at Southern Nazarene (1-8, 0-4 GAC) before dropping an 8-1 match to Oklahoma Baptist (14-2, 3-0 GAC).

The Suns returned home to face East Central (8-10, 2-1 GAC) on Tuesday, April 5 and won 5-4 with
Teresa Sanchez pulling out a third-set victory in the final individual match.

Arkansas Tech's match in Durant against Southeastern is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start tomorrow and the Golden Suns' non-conference home match against Southwest Baptist will start at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
