RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech offense erupted, hitting five home runs, while
Jalissa Gum,
Morgan Vaughan, and
Kelsie Barker combined to throw 12 scoreless innings to lead the No. 8 Golden Suns (43-6, 33-5 Great American Conference) captured the outright GAC regular-season title with a doubleheader sweep of Northwestern Oklahoma (10-40, 8-32 GAC), winning the opener 8-0 and the finale 5-0.
With the win, the Golden Suns have set a new single-season program record for wins.
