Laura Sanchez's win in singles competition sealed the match victory, as the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns clinched the No. 2 seed in the Great American Conference tournament with a 5-4 win over Henderson State Sunday afternoon at the Chartwells Women's Sports Complex.

Tech held a 3-0 lead after doubles, but Henderson State battled back to make it 3-2 after the first two singles matches.
Tamara Bell won her match to pull back to a two-match lead before the Reddies won the next match to come back to within 4-3 with two matches remaining. L. Sanchez pulled out the win in the No. 6 singles court to make it a 5-3 match, sealing the victory for the Golden Suns.

The Suns will have a bye before playing the winner of the No. 3 / No. 6 quarterfinal matchup. Tech's match is slated for 2 p.m. on Friday, April 22 at the Bentonville Visitors and Convention Bureau.
