ADA, Okla. – For the second day in a row, the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns softball team (25-2, 17-1 Great American Conference) got a pair of standout pitching performances from
Jalissa Gum and
Morgan Vaughan in a doubleheader sweep over East Central (14-17, 11-9 GAC) 4-1 and 6-1 Sunday afternoon in Ada. The Golden Suns allowed just three runs in four games against the GAC Preseason favorite Tigers.

- Both teams remained deadlocked at 0-0 through the first four innings until the Golden Suns took advantage of a bases-loaded wild pitch, scoring two runs on the play to jump out to a 2-0 lead.
- Megan Goodnight added an insurance run in the seventh with an RBI triple. Goodnight finished the game going 1-for-2 with two runs scored and an RBI.
- Chloe Clifton knocked in one more insurance run in the seventh with a pinch-hit RBI double to make it 4-1.
