DURANT, Okla. – Alex Edinger hit a two-run walkoff single in the opening game to lift the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns softball team (2-0) to a wild 10-9 win over Central Oklahoma in the day's opener, and then Morgan Vaughan pitched a one-hit shutout in the nightcap to lead the Golden Suns to a 5-0 win over Central Missouri, as the Suns swept on day one of the Southeastern Shootout in Durant.
The win over Central Missouri was head coach Kristina McSweeney's 100^th win at Arkansas Tech.

• The Golden Suns return to action on day two of the Southeastern Shootout on Saturday, facing off against Pittsburg State at 10 a.m. and then facing Missouri Southern at 3 p.m.
