TECH BASKETBALL TO HOST BACON NIGHT

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys and Golden Suns basketball teams will return to Tucker Coliseum this Thursday, Feb. 25, hosting the annual "Bacon Night" as part of their games against Southeastern Oklahoma.

The Golden Suns will tip off at 5:30 p.m. while the Wonder Boys will play at 7:30.

150 pounds of bacon will be cooked and provided to fans on a first-come, first-serve basis beginning at 5:30 p.m. The first 200 students in attendance will receive a free t-shirt as well as a part of the promotion.

The Golden Suns (21-3, 19-1 Great American Conference) captured the regular-season conference crown and have earned the top seed in the upcoming GAC championship in Bartlesville, Okla., and are looking to strengthen their postseason profile against a Savage Storm (13-13, 11-9 GAC) squad that is looking to lock up a high seed in the upcoming championship event.

The Golden Suns will also be hosting a "PINK OUT" night to raise awareness for breast cancer. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the games.

Meanwhile, the Wonder Boys (15-11, 10-10) have seen their fortunes turn in recent weeks and are looking to lock up a berth in the championship tournament with a win over the Savage Storm (10-16, 8-12). The seeding picture is still far from settled with two games to play, with the Wonder Boys in position to finish as high as fourth in the GAC depending on the regular season's final weekend.

Tech will conclude its regular season this Saturday, Feb. 27, hosting East Central at 1 and 3 p.m.
