GOLDEN SUNS SET FOR WEEKEND SLATE

Game Notes

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - The No. 14 Arkansas Tech Golden Suns basketball team (19-3, 17-1 Great American Conference) will look to bounce back from a double-overtime loss this past Monday at Harding, as it it returns to action this week in a pair of GAC contests.

Tech will return to Tucker Coliseum to match up with Henderson State (11-13, 10-8 GAC) on Thursday night at 5:30 p.m. before heading south to meet Arkansas-Monticello (11-11, 8-10 GAC) at Steelman Fieldhouse in a 2 p.m. matchup.

PREVIOUS MEETINGS
Tech had dates with these two teams earlier in the season and came out on the winning end both times. Tech downed Henderson State 87-64 in Arkadelphia before hosting UAM and taking a 90-60 win.

THE HSU SERIES
Tech holds an all-time 67-12 advantage in the series with Henderson State, a series dating back to the 1977- 78 season. The Reddies' last win came in the 2014-15 season, when HSU topped the Golden Suns 83-65 in Arkadelphia. However, Tech has won 18 of the last 19 meetings, and has not lost to the Reddies inside Tucker Coliseum since February 2, 2007, when HSU picked up a 64-46 win.

THE UAM SERIES
The Golden Suns hold an all-time 66-24 advantage in the all-time series between the two programs, going back to the 1977-78 season. Tech has won 15 consecutive meetings and 20 of the last 21 meetings; however, Steelman Fieldhouse has historically been a very difficult place for the Golden Suns as Tech's advantage in that building is 22-18.

FACULTY/STAFF APPRECIATION
Thursday's home games have been designated as Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night. T-shirts will be given away to the first 150 employees in attendance, and 50 coupons for a free hot dog, drink and popcorn from the concession stand will be given away. All employees in attendance will receive a 10 percent off coupon from Buffalo Wild Wings.

THE BROADCAST
All Tech basketball games will be carried live on KCJC-FM (102.3) in Russellville, with Sam Strasner calling the play-by-play and Kelly Davis providing color analysis. Live audio, video, and statistics are available at www.arkansastechsports.com.
