HOW IT HAPPENED- Both teams battled back and forth during the early portions of the first quarter, with Tech holding its last lead of the half when it took a 7-6 lead with 6:33 to go in the quarter on an Aujana Dawkins layup.
- The Lady Bisons took control of the rest of the half when they went on a 12-4 run over the next six minutes to grab an 18-11 lead with 35 seconds to go in the first quarter.
- The Golden Suns cut the Harding lead to 18-16 on an Adams layup with 7:55 to go in the second quarter. However, the Lady Bisons answered with an 11-4 run of their own to take their largest lead of the half at 29-20 with 4:55 remaining in the period.
- Tech made another run toward the end of the second quarter, going on a 10-4 run to end the half, sparked by a pair of three-pointers by Calli White and Kelsey McClure to go into the locker room down 33-30.
- Down by seven with 7:01 to go in the fourth quarter, the Golden Suns rallied on back-to-back three-pointers by Anissa Pounds to get the Harding lead down to one and took their first lead since the first quarter on an Adams fastbreak layup with 2:06 to go to make it 58-56.
- With two seconds remaining in regulation, Adams took a difficult fall-away jumper in the lane to tie the game and send the game into overtime.
- The Golden Suns had two opportunities to win the game in the first and second overtimes, but go-ahead three-pointers fell short on both of Tech's last possessions of the each extra session and Harding escaped with the 82-79 victory.
