COACH WILBERS SAYS·
  • On the last two minutes of the first quarter – "There are a lot of options, and our girls have been doing a good job executing those options. It is a bit demoralizing when you hit a three at the buzzer, and I thought our girls did a good job taking care of business with a fantastic, enthusiastic crowd."
  • On the transition game – "I think we're making very good decisions. We're throwing it to the open person. This team is not selfish, one bit. We work on it in practice and do a good job of executing it in the game."
  • On the beginning of a three game in five day stretch – "(Being able to rest the starters in the fourth quarter) is very valuable because we're going to go on the road for two tough games. Our players are looking forward to it too – it's a good time to play basketball. Practice, and then play a game. You throw three or four practices in a row and it's tough."
NEXT UP
  • The Golden Suns hit the road this Saturday for a Great American Conference matchup against Southern Arkansas. A 1 p.m. tip is scheduled.
