Olga Leyshyna were 8-3 winners over the Southern Nazarene duo of Masha Andrianova and Natalia Moreno at No. 1 doubles,
Tamara Bell and
Camila Roca picked up an 8-3 win at No. 2 doubles over Polina Chava and Karina Kotova, while
Laura Sanchez and
Vandella Suico were 8-0 winners at No. 3 doubles over Kaitlyn Atkeson and Taylor Sullivan as the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns tennis team rolled to a 7-2 win over Southern Nazarene on Saturday at the Chartwells Women's Sports Complex.
With Tech carrying a 3-0 lead after the doubles points, Bell picked up a win at No. 1 singles over Andrianova, currently ranked No. 6 in the Central Region, winning a 6-4, 0-6, 10-7 decision.
SNU picked up a pair of wins in singles play, as Chala downed Sardak 7-6 (4), 6-3 at No. 2 singles, and Kotova topped Sanchez 6-3, 6-4 at No. 4 singles, however, Tech won three additional straight-set matches to seal the win.
Leyshyna was a 6-2, 6-2 winner at No. 3 singles over Moreno, Roca picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win over Atkeson at No. 5 singles and Suico was a 6-0, 6-0 winner over Sullivan at No. 6 singles.
The Golden Suns will return to action on Monday, facing Harding University in Searcy.
