FORSYTH, Mo. - The Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys baseball team won a 14-11 slugfest over Southwest Baptist in a neutral-site game on Tuesday.
The Wonder Boys (6-9) tagged SBU (0-6) for 21 hits in the win, with
Bryan Heward turning in a game-high four hits.
Keenan Jumper added four hits, while
Mark Vaughn,
Kris Ayers, and
Patrick Castleberry had three apiece.
Geoffrey Birkemeier picked up the win for the Wonder Boys, throwing 3.1 solid innings, allowing one earned run and fanning four.
Ryan Vruggink picked up the save after tossing a scoreless ninth inning.
Tech returns to action on Saturday, March 7, opening a four-game set at Tech Field against Augustana.
