GOLDEN SUNS CONTINUE HOMESTAND TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - Mother nature's interventions have turned what was supposed to be a balanced schedule into a 14-game homestand.

The Arkansas Tech Golden Suns softball team will continue that homestand this week. hosting Harding in a Great American Conference doubleheader on Tuesday before hosting Central Region foe Northeastern State in a doubleheader on Wednesday at the Chartwells Women's Sports Complex.

Tuesday's games will begin at 4 p.m., while Wednesday's games are slated for a 3 p.m. start. All four games will be carried live on 100.9-FM (KWKK) in Russellville.

The GAC series on Tuesday is a pivotal one for the Golden Suns (18-6, 9-3 GAC), who enter play in third place in the GAC standings behind Henderson State and Arkansas-Monticello. Harding (7-17, 2-8 GAC) has struggled out of the gate this year, but split a two-game set with UAM this past weekend before the final day of games were rained out.

HU is led offensively by Mackenzie Jones, whose .421 batting average is good enough to rank fourth in the Great American Conference. In the circle, Amber Rollins leads the way with a 4-7 record and a 2.61 ERA.

Meanwhile, the Golden Suns have the top offensive unit in the Great American Conference, hitting .343 and slugging 45 home runs.
