SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A 9-8 (4) win at the No. 2 doubles slot by
Tamara Bell and
Camila Roca was the only point that the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns tennis team could manage against the No. 20 Drury Panthers, as Tech fell 8-1 on Saturday evening.
Bell and Roca topped the duo of Hadeil Ali and Larissa Karl to pick up the point for the Golden Suns. Meanwhile, the Midwest Region's top-ranked team put Stefanie Monsch and Lara Muller up against the Tech duo of
Bohdana Sardak and
Olga Leyshyna at No. 1 doubles, where the DU duo picked up an 8-2 win.
Laura Sanchez and
Vandella Suico fell 8-3 at the No. 3 doubles position.
Bell fought valiantly against Monsch at No. 1 singles, but the sophomore fell 6-3, 6-2, as the Panthers picked up straight-set wins at each doubles position.
Arkansas Tech returns to action Sunday facing Northwest Missouri State.
