COACH WILBERS SAYS
  • On playing outside competition - "I thought we did a good job of sharing the basketball and looking for each other. You could tell it was the opening game. We had some turnovers that we probably won't have during the year, but it was good to put the uniform on and play a game."
  • On the team's rebounding effort - "I thought we did a better job rebounding in the second half. They're a very good team – put them in our league and they'd compete for a championship. They have a lot of talent. I thought we did a lot better and played with a lot more energy in the second half. It took us a little bit to come out of the first half and get used to things and how they are."
  • On the performance of Danielle Frachiseur off the bench - "(Frachiseur) is better, and all of our returners are stronger this year. Credit them because they've been in the weight room doing good things. I'm very happy and it's good to get a game under our belt."
WHO'S NEXT
  • The Golden Suns open the 2015-16 regular season at home on Saturday, Nov. 14, hosting Lane at Tucker Coliseum in a noon contest.
