WONDER BOYS HOLD OFF RANGERS

ALVA, Okla. — Tyler Corley came off the bench to score 22 points, hitting 14-of-20 free throws to lead the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys (2-2, 1-1 Great American Conference) to a 70-69 win over Northwestern Oklahoma (0-4, 0-2 GAC) on Saturday at Percefull Fieldhouse.

  • The Wonder Boys host Missouri Southern in a non-conference matchup on Saturday, Nov. 28 at Tucker Coliseum. A 3 p.m. tip is scheduled.
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Tech scored the first five points of the game, before NWOSU scored the next six.
  • The Rangers had as large as a six-point (16-10) lead in the first half before going into the break with a two-point (30-28) advantage.
  • Tech took control in the second half, opening up a 10-point (46-36) lead after a 13-3 run, and the Wonder Boys never trailed again.
  • The final minute provided drama as NWOSU pulled to within two (65-63) with 24 seconds to play.
  • Tech extended its lead to seven (70-63) with 12 seconds left.
  • The Rangers scored six points over those final 12 seconds to cut the Tech lead to one at the end of the game.
