Anson Lindsey enters into his second year as an assistant volleyball coach at Arkansas Tech.
Lindsey came to Tech in 2024 after serving two seasons as head men’s volleyball coach at Rockford University in Rockford, Ill. where he was the program’s second-ever head coach. Prior to his first collegiate head coaching role, Lindsey was an assistant women’s volleyball coach at Rock Valley College where he was heavily involved with player development, recruiting and overseeing and executing practices.
Before joining the collegiate coaching ranks full-time, Lindsey got his start at the level as a graduate assistant for the North Central College men’s volleyball program in Naperville, Ill. While at North Central, Lindsey was involved in all facets of the men's volleyball program, including practice planning, recruiting, fundraising and logistics.
During his two years on staff, the Cardinals never finished lower than second in the CCIW standings and earned their first-ever NCAA Tournament berth in 2022. North Central also had seven All-CCIW selections, four All-Region honorees and three All-American selections over that span.
Prior to entering the collegiate coaching ranks, Lindsey had a very successful playing career at Clarke University. While at Clarke, the Pride made a pair of trips to the NAIA National Invitational Tournament and were ranked as high as second nationally at one point.
In terms of individual accolades, Lindsey was an all-conference selection three times during his career and voted Team MVP his senior season. He was also consistently one of the best net players in the entire NAIA throughout his career. In 2015, he led the NAIA in total blocks and hitting percentage, finished first in 2014 in blocks per set, was second nationally in 2016 in total blocks and hitting percentage and finished third in the NAIA in total blocks in 2014.
A graduate of Clarke University in 2016 with a degree in Psychology, Lindsey earned his master’s degree in Sports Leadership from North Central College in 2022.
