Shaun Wiseman enters his third year as head women's tennis coach at his alma mater, Arkansas Tech.

In just his first season at the helm, Wiseman led the Golden Suns to a share of the 2023 GAC Regular Season Championship with a 4-1 record in conference play. It was the first conference regular season title for the program since 2015. Overall, Wiseman's Golden Suns won 12 matches and went 12-8 that year. Half of the defeats, however, came against NCAA Division I competition. Against DII foes, Wiseman and the Golden Suns were 11-4.

The immediate success of the program under Wiseman also led to the program breaking into the ITA's Top-50 Division II National Rankings, peaking at No. 39.

The return to his alma mater came nine years after his initial stint as a college coach at nearby University of the Ozarks in Clarksville where he served as the head men’s and women’s tennis coach from 2008-2014. In his time at Ozarks, Wiseman brought both programs to new heights, reaching a high point in wins on the women’s side and earning ITA regional rankings for the first time ever on the men’s side.

Totaling over 75 dual wins across both programs, Wiseman put together four-straight winning seasons on the men’s side that all saw double-digit win totals. His women’s program had 11 all-conference players, 13 ITA Scholar-Athletes and received three ITA Team Academic Awards.

In addition to his role as head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Ozarks, Wiseman also served as the University’s athletic compliance office and was an assistant athletic director.

Following his time at Ozarks, Wiseman spent three years as the Director of Tennis/Facilities at Burns Park in North Little Rock. While there, Wiseman supervised scheduling of facilities for tennis, racquetball and wallyball for recreational play, USTA League tennis, tournaments, high school play and clinics. He also supervised the operation of the Burns Park pro shop.

Most-recently, Wiseman has worked as a probation officer for Arkansas Community Corrections.

He and his two kids, Carter and Cason and live in Jasper, Ark.
