What do I do when I get sick?
Go see the nurse here at Tech. It is free with a Tech ID and it is located on campus. Go to Dean Hall room 126. They are open Monday thru Friday 8am to 5 pm. Hydration
Proper hydration is essential to athletic performance. Also being properly hydrated is a key to preventing heat related illness. It is important to drink water before, during, and after practice.

Heat Illness
Everyone is susceptible to heat illness. There are different stages of heat illness ranging from dehydration to heat stroke.

RICE is the basic principle for treating acute injuries.

Overuse Injuries
There are two types of injuries acute injuries and overuse injuries. Overuse injuries occur over time and are more difficult to diagnosis and treat.

Nutrition is a key for optimal athletic performance. There are many different diets out there. The US Anti-Doping Agency has put together information on proper athlete nutrition.

Eating Disorders
Eating disorders are a serious health concern. Learn the signs and symptoms.

MRSA
MRSA is a type of staph infection that can be resistant to antibiotics. It is important to know the signs of it and how to prevent it.
