RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - After their season opening meet last weekend at the Hendrix Alumni Open where freshman
Dallice White took first place in the shot put, the Arkansas Tech women's track & field team gear up for their second meet of the 2023 outdoor season in Conway, Ark. at the Richard Martin Jr. Invitational hosted by the University of Central Arkansas at the Bill Stephens Track/Soccer Complex.
The meet will be held across two separate days and will begin on Friday. Then on Saturday, the meet will wrap up with its final day of action.

Event Rundown
To start their weekend in Conway, the Golden Suns will compete in the 1500m race on Friday evening. Section one will see
Mandy Sykora and
Avery Stanley compete, while section two has
Marcie Cudworth,
Calli Beshore,
Mary Beth Bailey,
Morganne Browning,
Audrey Hill and
Mackenzie Hendrix set to race for Tech. The 1500 is scheduled to begin at 7:20 p.m. on Friday night at the Bill Stephens Track/Soccer Complex on the campus of UCA.
On Saturday, the Golden Suns will start their busiest day of the weekend with the 5000m race at 10 a.m. that morning. Slotted in to race for the Golden Suns in the 5000 on Saturday morning will be
Ashlynn Mays,
Mackenzie Epperson,
Libby Booth and
Sophey Pope.
At noon on Saturday the Golden Suns will compete in their first field event of the weekend as White gets set to go for the discus. Later that afternoon, White will also take part in the shot put for Arkansas Tech. The shot put is set for a 3:30 p.m. start time at UCA.
The next to last event of the weekend for the Golden Suns will be the 800m race.
Felicity West and Hill will represent the green & gold in section two of the event, which is set for a 3:10 p.m. race time.
Arkansas Tech will close out their weekend at the Richard Martin Jr. Invitational with the 3000m steeplechase. Lacing up for the Golden Suns in the event will be Beshore, Browning, Stanley and Sykora. The 3000m steeplechase is set for a 5 p.m. race time on Saturday evening.
