RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - The Arkansas Tech women's track & field team gears up for their third meet of the 2023 indoor season as they head to Birmingham, Ala. to compete in the South Alabama Invitational. The meet itself is set to start at 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning at the Birmingham Crossplex Arena.

Across the meet, the Golden Suns will compete in a total of five events.
The Golden Suns will begin their day bright and early at 9:30 a.m. with the 5000m race. Set to go for the Golden Suns in the 5000m is
Marcie Cudworth,
Ashlynn Mays,
Calli Beshore,
Morganne Browning and
Mackenzie Epperson.
Next up for Arkansas Tech will be the mile which is set to begin at 12:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Racing for the Golden Suns in the first section of the event will be
Mary Beth Bailey, while
Avery Stanley and
Audrey Hill will represent the green & gold in the second section of the mile.
Following the mile will be the 800m race.
Felicity West will be the lone athlete to race for Arkansas Tech in the 800m. The event is set to begin at 3:45 in Birmingham on Sunday.
Rounding out the list of track events will be the 3000m race, which is set to go at 4:15 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. Lacing up for the Golden Suns in the 3000m race will be
Libby Booth and
Mackenzie Hendrix in the first section of the race, while
Mandy Sykora is slotted in to compete in the second section of the event for Tech.
As for field events, the Golden Suns will compete in the shotput at the South Alabama Invitational on Sunday. Gearing up for the event will be
Dallice White, who will throw in her second meet for the Golden Suns. The shotput is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday morning.
