DAY 1: Mays places 5th and earns All-Conference at GAC Championships

MAGNOLIA, Ark. – Freshman
Ashlynn Mays becomes the first ever Great American Conference All-Conference athlete for the ATU Golden Suns track & field team after placing 5th in the 10,000 meters Thursday evening.
Mays completed the 10k Thursday night with an outstanding 39:41.77 finishing time – a new personal record and program record, setting a great tone for the rest of the GAC Championships.
As day one of the GAC Championships conclude, the Golden Suns prepare for
Haven Calavitta to compete in the Long Jump on day two. Calavitta is currently seeded 6th with a PR of 4.78 meters. Long Jump set to begin Friday evening.
