Wonder Boys finish 3rd at NISC Classic Invite

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Wonder Boys finish strong despite grueling winds at the NCIS Classic Invitational and pull a 3rd-place out of the challenging tournament.

The weather factored into gameplay both Monday and Tuesday. Round 1 provided southerly winds from 20 mph-30 mph with gusts of 50 mph. Round to provided cool conditions with northwesterly winds of 20 mph with gusts of 30 mph rendering a wind chill of 36 degrees.
Andre Jacobs and
Henry Frizzell matched scores in both rounds (76, 71) for a total 6-over-par finish for both golfers.
Santiago De La Fuente tied for 18th with matching rounds of 76 (+5) for a 152 total.
Austin Gean tied for 27th with a total 154 (75, 79). Rounding out the team play,
Francois Jacobs shot double rounds of 80 (+9) to tie for 66th. In individual play,
Trevor Brunson tied for 56th with a 159 total (80, 79).
Ranked No. 7 in the nation, the Wonder Boys seeded higher than any of the five other Great American Conference competitors in the tournament.
