Drew Bailey has been named as the Great American Conference Player of the Week as it was announced by the league office on Monday.
In the three-game sweep of Southern Nazarene, Bailey hit .583 (7-for-12) with three runs scored, three doubles, two home runs and eight RBIs.
All three of his doubles came in the opener as he went 4-for-6 in that game. Both of his homers came in the finale as he drove in a season-high five runs as well.
In addition to his batting average, Bailey had an on-base percentage of .571 and an eye-popping 1.333 slugging percentage.
Bailey and the Wonder Boys are preparing for a four-game week of action as they will travel to Arkadelphia to play a non-conference game against Henderson State on Tuesday and then return home for a big weekend series with Oklahoma Baptist with first place in the GAC on the line.
