GOLDEN SUNS SET TO HOST SOUTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark.- The Golden Suns softball team will host Southeastern Oklahoma State for the second home series of the season this Friday and Saturday. This will be their second conference series of the 2020 season.
 
Day one's double header times are scheduled for 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Day two games are set for 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.

FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
 

1. Arkansas Tech split both double headers during last week's series against Henderson State. Game 2 was a one-run contest with zero RBI's. Tech sits 8-8 overall and 2-2 in Great American Conference.
2. Southeastern Oklahoma is 11-5 overall and 3-1 in conference play. Their most recent victory came from their series against Southwestern Oklahoma State where they went 3-1.  Their final game won 8-7 in the 8th inning.
3. Arkansas Tech and Southeastern are even in win/loss history (18-18). Their most recent contest in May rendered a Golden Suns 5-1 victory during the 2019 Great American Conference Championships.
4. Tymber Riley's first collegiate at-bat was a homerun against Southeastern in their first contest of the 2019 season. In the same series Arkansas Tech run-ruled the day 2 double-header while earning their highest marginal victory against SE in history (20-2, 8-0).
5.  Arkansas tech is currently tied for 6th in the conference with Southeastern Oklahoma in 5th. A series win can push Tech into the top 5.
