BENTONVILLE, Ark.– Ashton Sangster went 2-for-4 with three RBIs, while making a game-saving diving catch with the bases loaded in the top of the sixth as the No. 14 Arkansas Tech Golden Suns softball team (42-13) held off Southwestern Oklahoma (21-33) in the quarterfinals of the Great American Conference softball championship, downing the Bulldogs 8-5.

• Bailey Shaffer picked up the win after entering the game in relief and surrendering two runs on seven hits in 4.1 innings of work. 
• Riley's home run came after she was hit by a pitch three times. That tied the GAC record, which has been reached five times – last by Tech's Gaby Vasquez vs. East Central during the 2018 season.
