RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas Tech (3-2) fought to establish a 3-1 lead against Dallas Baptist (7-3) with three singles wins but fell in tight battles in the latter three singles matches, dropping their home match against the Patriots 3-4.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Daniela Baez and Teresa Sanchez won their match 6-4 in the No. 3 spot, leaving the singles point up for grabs to the winners of the No. 1 doubles.
• Annabel Rowlands and Kami Ward came from behind to tie the match at 6-6 but fell 5-7 in the tiebreaker as the lone doubles point went to DBU.
• Katie Harris and Daniela Baez gave Tech a 2-1 lead with their wins in the No. 5 and No. 6 spots, respectively. Katharina Drebka then gave Tech a 3-1 lead with her 6-3, 6-2 win in No. 1 doubles.
• However, those would be the last points for Tech, as DBU won the final three singles doubles matches in the No. 2 and No. 3 positions to win the match.
