LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – It came down to one singles point and The Golden Suns (3-0) prevailed, narrowly defeating the University of Nebraska-Kearney (7-4) 4-3 for their third straight win.
 
Coming into the match, Nebraska-Kearney was ranked No. 6 in the Central Region. Tech was ranked No. 7.

• Tech No. 3 doubles Katharina Drebka and Megan Bell got the sole doubles win against the Lopers as they came from behind to win 6-4. However, the Lopers received the doubles point with wins in No. 1 and No. 2.
• Katie Harris got the first Tech point with her 6-2, 6-2 win in No. 5 singles. 
• Daniela Baez then got the second point for the Suns in her 6-4, 6-3 win in No. 6 singles.
• Kami Ward quickly followed, defeating her opponent 6-4, 6-1 in the No. 3 spot.
• With the teams tied 3-3, Teresa Sanchez secured the win for Tech in her 4-6, 7-6, 6-4 win in the No. 2 spot.
