WONDER BOYS WIN EIGHTH CONSECUTIVE CONFERENCE SERIES

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Eight different Wonder Boys recorded a hit and scored a run as the Arkansas Tech baseball team (26-14, 18-9 GAC) defeated No. 15 Arkansas-Monticello (27-12, 21-6 GAC) 15-7 on Sunday afternoon at Tech Field.

  • Tech has now won eight straight conference series after taking two of the three games from No. 15 Arkansas-Monticello. The Wonder Boys sit in fourth place in the GAC standings.
  • Anthony Race picked up his third win of the season after surrendering one lone run in 4.1 innings of work.
  • Eight Wonder Boys recorded a hit and scored a run, led by Britt Stoth and Kyle Gibbs. Both Stroth and Gibbs recorded three hits apiece, while Stroth also scored a team-high three runs and Gibbs picked up his 13th and 14th doubles of the season.
  • Seven Tech players also recorded an RBI, led by Jake Harvey who finished the day with three RBIs.
  • Tech went 9-27 with runners on base and 7-for-20 with runners in scoring position. UAM went 7-for-17 with runners on and 6-for-12 with runners in scoring position.
